With Halloween being in just a few short hours, I decided last minute to make a whole bunch of s’more mix and package it in cute Halloween bags I had leftover….you know, in the 1 in 5,000 chance I might have a trick-or-treater knock on the door to my college apartment. I’m guessing that my roommates and co-workers will be enjoying all of it on Friday.
I have no idea where this recipe came from, or if there is even an official recipe. My mom has made it every fall as long as I can remember, and I used to take it to school as my morning snack. My mom used to put raisins in (eww), which I would be careful to not confuse with a chocolate chip when building a mini-s’more. Here’s my version, but it’s completely up to you what you add or don’t add to the mix. Enjoy!
S’more Mix:
Ingredients:
-24 oz. (2 small boxes or 1.5 medium boxes) Golden Grahams
-1 12-oz. bag Chocolate Chips (either milk chocolate or semi-sweet work, but I prefer the semi-sweet)
-1 16-oz. bag Mini Marshmallows
-1 bag Candy Corn (I used 1/2 bag in today’s batch since that was all I had)
-1 bag Fall M&M’s (used 1/2 bag in today’s batch since I ate the other 1/2…oops)
The instructions are easy- just add everything in a large bowl (mine was 32 cups, so the amount of each ingredient will probably change with the bowl size) and mix!
Suggested variations:
-peanuts or almonds
-raisins
-Cinnamon Toast Crunch instead of Golden Grahams
