Happy Friday! It’s 4-H fair week in my county, so lots of activity this week between helping 4-Hers in the club I help lead finish up projects earlier this week, volunteering as a judge on Wednesday, and helping out/attending the fair all of the other days. Since it’s such a crazy week, I’ll leave you with a quick visual tour of the three fields we’re following this season and come back with a more thorough update next week. 🙂
8/2/19 UPDATE:
Cover Crop Soybeans (77 Days)
Check out these pods beginning to develop.
Check out this awesome ground cover left over from the cover crop we planted last fall. It was a pain to plant into, but it’s done well keeping weeds down in this field.
Corn (59 Days)
Starting to get some tassels…
…and the ears. See the little ear developing between the leaf and the stalk?
No-Till Soybeans (55 Days)
Starting to get some pod development in this field! Remember, this field is three weeks behind the other (cover crop) soybean field.
Overhead shot. Check out that nice leaf canopy.
Beauty shot! 🙂
