It seems like everybody comes from a small town, but what happens to our hometowns when we grow up and move away? In this episode, Claire and Gracie discuss
- The implications of the grocery store closing in a nearby community and loss of the town’s identity,
- What’s in store for Small Town USA,
- And, because we’re on the subject of food, our favorite Thanksgiving food traditions.
We want to hear from our listeners! Let us know what you think the safest (homemade) dish option would be to take to a Friendsgiving dinner.

November 20, 2019 at 9:55 amFirst, my favorite Thanksgiving food is Sage Dressing. Mostly because only time we have it is Thanksgiving! Second here in Dwight we are fortunate to have a small Super Market. It carries a wide variety and is fairly competitively priced. We also have an Ace hardware, CVS Drug store(very small) A Dollar General and TWO Casey General Stores. All of above are out on edge of town, not on main street. Main street pretty much dead except for bars, banks(2), a flower shop(closing soon) one gift shop and several insurance offices.
